Question: How was music invented????

The first music was invented long, long ago during pre-historic times, before people could even read or write. Perhaps the first music was made by a prehistoric person trying to sing like a bird, or perhaps he or she liked the thunderous sound of the thud of a club against a rock - the first gong or bell. Perhaps the dried seeds in a seedpod was the first rattle. Early people probably used many naturally occurring objects as instruments before they started making their own.
Early people probably first imitated the sounds of animals and natural occurences (thunder, water, wind) by using both their voices (whistling, singing, calling) and their bodies (clapping, stamping, snapping) as instruments before they started making their own from other materials. My answer to your question, therefore, is that both vocal and percussion "music" was likely to have developed concurrently (at the same time) by ancient people using the sounds they could make with their own bodies, either with their voices or with their feet and hands. We can only guess, however; there is no proof.
The earliest instrument ever found is a flute made from a vulture bone. It was found in France and is 33,000 years old. Other Stone Age flutes have been found in China; they are made from the hollow wing bones of cranes!
There is a company in Cambridge, England that records ancient music using replicas of ancient instruments know from archaeological finds. The company is called Archeologia musica.
